Potential Breaks

Potential breaks can be used to electrically isolate a closed cooling channel for liquid helium, e.g. in superconducting magnets.

Our potential breaks are manufactured according to the proven Lenz technology applying strictest quality assurance measures. They have an excellent high-voltage strength and a unique pressure resistance for helium at cryogenic temperatures.

Bilfinger Noell potential breaks are used in the projects Wendelstein 7-X, JT-60 SA, ITER-TF-model coil and SIS100 Dipole.
