Successful Trade Fair Participation of Babcock Noell GmbH at SMM 2016

Positive outcome and valuable impulses for Babcock Noell due to successful trade fair at the SMM 2016.

Babcock Noell GmbH, as an expert for well-tested and innovative process engineering for exhaust gas cleaning, presented itself to an interested trade audience at the leading international maritime trade fair SMM 2016 under the slogan „WE MAKE SCRUBBERS WORK“.

Based on 40 years of experience in flue- and exhaust gas cleaning, Babcock Noell developed a hybrid scrubber concept for maritime shipping with many system benefits.

Special requirements for ECA-zones and stricter limit values for SO₂-emissions require the application of so-called Scrubbers by the ship owners.

The Scrubber-system of Babcock Noell is especially designed to fully meet the strict regulations of International Maritime Organization (MARPOL-Annex VI).Thus enabling operations with proven and cost-efficient fuels in the ECA-zones as well as significant costs savings.

Babcock Noell used its presence at the SMM 2016 to provide a profitability calculator – directly at the fair both - as well as to introduce its range of fun-damental wealth of experience to the maritime industry visitors.

Promising conversations were held and Babcock Noell was excellent posi-tioned with its booth at the SMM 2016.

More than 2,200 exhibitors from all over the world and about 50,000 industry visitors have participated in the trade fair whose major topic, amongst others, addressed the „Green Propulsion“. The fair organisers had designed and pro-vided an additional 3,500 square metre exhibition hall specifically dedicated for this purpose.
